Democracy is not an ornament for decoration, but for solving the problems that people need to solve. Whether a country is democratic or not depends on whether the people are the masters of the country. Specifically, the evaluation of whether a nation's political system is democratic or effective should mainly be based on whether the people can effectively manage state and social affairs, and whether the exercising of power can be effectively supervised.

Democracy is not true democracy if the people are awakened only at the time of voting and then go dormant afterward, if they listen to the hype only at the time of campaigning and then have no voice after the election, if they are favored only at the time of campaigning and then are left out after the election. Democracy is the right of all peoples, not the monopoly of a few nations.

Whether a country is democratic or not should be judged by its people, not by the finger-pointing of a few outsiders. There are many ways to achieve democracy, and there can be no cookie-cutter approach. It is undemocratic to use a single yardstick to measure the different political systems in the world.

The whole-process people's democracy in China is the lifeblood of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Without democracy, there can be no socialist modernization of the country and no great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

To transform democratic values and ideas into practice requires the political system of a country to balance political relations, promote national development and maintain national stability.

The people's democracy in China is a whole-process democracy in which people conduct full consultation among all sectors of society before major decisions are made based on consensus reached.

It is China's contribution to the progress of human political civilization. Democracy is a common value of all mankind and one that the Communist Party of China and the Chinese people unswervingly adhere to.
