The inauguration ceremony of a micro, small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) service center was recently held in Baoan district of Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong province.

Luo Wenzhi, chairman of the standing committee of the Shenzhen municipal people's congress, attended the ceremony. The service center is located at a community service station of the deputies to the National People's Congress in the district's Shiyan sub-district.

Micro and SMEs serve as a new force in Shenzhen's economic and social development. Shiyan sub-district is home to more than 6,000 companies, most of which are SMEs.

In recent years, however, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, some SMEs have faced difficulties as a result of tough and expensive financing and an imperfect guarantee system, which have restricted their sustainable development.

To solve these problems, several deputies to the National People's Congress (NPC) from Shenzhen will work at the newly established service center and will have regular face-to-face meetings with representatives from these companies, in order to help them attract more investment and to provide solutions to meet their actual needs.

As for the common problems faced by SMEs, the deputies will carry out field surveys, with the aim of finding solutions and providing feedback to relevant government agencies. Furthermore, they will continue to improve the valuable research results and the solutions to these problems, and will propose them at the annual two sessions.
