Chen Liang, deputy head of the forestry department of Inner Mongolia's Hinggan League Environmental protection in recent years has resulted in a rising forest wildlife population. We should protect nature and preserve the environment just as we protect our eyes. We should treasure nature just as we treasure our lives. President Xi Jinping attaches great importance to environmental protection and frequently reminds us of our responsibility to safeguard northern China's'Green Great Wall' during meetings with fellow deputies from the Inner Mongolia autonomous region. We will always keep Xi's remarks in mind and spare no effort in performing our duty.

Shawo Drolma, employee of the Tongren City Water Supply Company in Qinghai province Qinghai province is the source of the Yangtze, Yellow and Lancang (Mekong) rivers. The three sources are also known as the 'Water Tower of Asia'. The improved environment along the three rivers in the last few years has guaranteed the supply of water not only to Qinghai, but also to many cities along their banks. As the president says, 'lucid water and lush mountains' are invaluable assets. We are the defenders of the rivers, which in turn benefit our lives. We should continue to protect the'Water Tower of Asia' to ensure a sufficient water supply to people in need.

Dong Caiyun, principal of Chuimatan Primary School in Jishan county, Linxia Hui autonomous prefecture, Gansu province Education is based on love, and the meaning of education is to inspire love, safeguard love and spread love. We fill the world with love through education and by allowing every child the opportunity to demonstrate their talent. My hometown has witnessed tremendous change in recent years, with special education schools being built and children gaining access to education resources just as good as their peers enjoy in urban areas. I'm pleased that people in my hometown have become more satisfied with education.

Chai Shanshan, mail handler at China Post in Shanghai Countless numbers of couriers travel back and forth across cities serving residents. They should be better integrated with the cities. I came to Shanghai from rural Hubei province 17 years ago. Over time, I have become a skilled worker and realized my dream of making my life shine. I will perform my duty as a legislator and use my experience to speak for grassroots workers. I hope their voices will be heard through me, and that everyone can enjoy a shining life through the efforts we make.

Ma Huijuan, farmer-turned-writer from Hongsibu district, Wuzhong city in Ningxia Hui autonomous region The relocation policy helped me and many other poor people move out of the mountains and settle in Hongsibu district, completely changing our lives. Since 1998, Hongsibu has been transformed from a vast desert into an oasis of high buildings, thanks to the irrigation system. In the past, borrowing books was more difficult than borrowing money but now we have farmhouse libraries accessible to everyone. Take me personally, a junior high school graduate and a rural woman, it is the relocation policy that enabled me to once again read and write and it was the relocation policy that has allowed me to leave the mountains and realize my dream.
