A team led by Wang Chen, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and vice-chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, inspected the enforcement of the law on the promotion of rural vitalization in Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region from July 15 to 17.

After hearing the region's report on the law enforcement, the team visited the cities of Yinchuan and Wuzhong to inspect development projects, including a pair-up assistance program supported by East China's Fujian province in Yuanlong village and a vineyard that has created jobs for locals. The team also visited Hongde village, where households in poverty-stricken areas are relocated, to look into the progress of local industries. At Baisitan and Niujiafang villages, the team reviewed efforts of rural governance, protection of ecological environment, and preservation of cultural heritage.

Hailing Ningxia' progress in consolidating and expanding the achievements made in poverty alleviation in coordination with the drive for rural vitalization, he called for efforts to address issues such as a low degree of agricultural industrialization and weaknesses in rural infrastructure.

It's important to fully enforce the law on the promotion of rural vitalization, enhance agriculture quality and efficiency, improve rural living environment through upgrading facilities, expand sources of income for farmers, and improve their science and technology literacy, according to Wang.
