On July 10, the delegations of the 5th Seminar for Parliaments of Developing Countries visited the Baofeng Peninsula Wetland in Kunming, Southwest China’s Yunnan province. Members of parliaments (MPs) learned about how the local government took measures to preserve biodiversity of Dianchi Lake and made it into a tourism attraction. Taabeta Teakai, Minister of Employment and Human Resources in Kiribati, shared her impression on the wetland, which inspired her to make full use of uninhabited islands in kribati with various birds and plants to develop tourism.
