On Oct 30, an event commemorating the 80th anniversary of the assistance of the American Volunteer Group of the Chinese Air Force, also known as the Flying Tigers, in the war against the fascist invasion was held by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries at the Museum of the War of Peoples Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in Beijing.

He Wei, vice-chairman of China’s National People’s Congress Standing Committee, attended and addressed the event.

Nearly 100 participants, including Flying Tigers veterans, their descendants, and people from all sectors of life in China and the United States, attended the event.
