Lawmaker aims at strong rural economy and more care for left-behind children

Pan Jian, a deputy to the National People's Congress, underscored the need of basic rural infrastructures, such as improved roads to industrial zones, and the significance of strong local industries.

In a recent interview with China Daily website, Pan representing Southwest China's Yunnan province, also called for more actions to take better care of left-behind children and the elderly in rural areas.
