KATHMANDU -- A symposium was held here on Wednesday to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
Speaking at the symposium, President of the Overseas Chinese Association of Nepal Jin Xiaodong called on the overseas Chinese community in Nepal to remember history, inherit the spirit, and always be the guardian of peace.
In his speech, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song said that strong national cohesion and patriotism are the solid foundation for a nation to change its destiny and achieve national rejuvenation.
"We commemorate the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in Nepal to jointly cherish and safeguard peace, and more importantly, to learn from history and create the future," he added.
A photo exhibition was held on the occasion to highlight the great process of the Chinese military and civilians uniting to fight against Japanese aggression.
