Senior Chinese legislator meets senate president pro tempore of US state of Oregon
Peng Qinghua, vice-chairman of China's National People's Congress Standing Committee, met with a delegation led by James Manning Jr, senate president pro tempore of the US state of Oregon, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Sept 28.
The two sides held in-depth discussions on implementing the important consensus reached at the latest meeting between the heads of state of China and the US and on further strengthening exchanges between legislative bodies at various levels and subnational cooperation between the two countries.
