BEIJING -- Top legislator Zhang Dejiang said on Saturday that National People's Congress (NPC) stands ready to strengthen communication and cooperation with the parliaments of other countries to help build a community with a shared future for mankind and a better world.
Zhang, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, made the remarks when meeting with foreign delegates to the CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-Level Meeting in Beijing, who are both parliamentary and political party leaders.
The concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind shows that the Communist Party of China (CPC) regards making more contribution to the human being as its mission, Zhang said.
People of all countries are pursuing development and progress, Zhang said, noting that building a community with a shared future for humanity is in accordance with their common will.
The delegates agreed to step up exchanges with the NPC so that together they can make the world a better place for the people.
