BEIJING -- The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) held a chairpersons meeting Monday morning to hear on the deliberation of several bills.
Li Zhanshu, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, presided over the meeting.
The senior lawmakers were briefed on the deliberation of the third drafts to revisions on the judges and procurators law, and a draft amendment to a package of eight laws including the Construction Law.
They were also briefed on the deliberation and draft resolutions on a treaty between China and Barbados on criminal judicial assistance, and another between China and Azerbaijan on the transfer of sentenced persons.
The meeting decided to submit the final drafts to the ongoing bimonthly session of the NPC Standing Committee for review.
