Senior lawmakers hear reports on legal deliberations

BEIJING -- The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress(NPC) held a chairpersons' meeting Friday afternoon to hear reports on the deliberation of draft laws and resolutions.

Li Zhanshu, chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, presided over the meeting.

Li Fei, chairman of the NPC's Constitution and Law Committee, reported on review results of a draft decision to grant special amnesty to some prisoners for the70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, as well as the draft vaccine administration law.

Shi Yaobin, vice chairman of the NPC Financial and Economic Affairs Committee and director of the NPC Standing Committee's Budgetary Affairs Commission, reported on issues concerning draft final accounts for 2018.

Yang Zhenwu, secretary-general of the NPC Standing Committee, made reports on deputy qualifications as well as official appointments and dismissals. The draft law and resolutions will be submitted for review at the ongoing bimonthly session of the NPC Standing Committee, scheduled to conclude Saturday.
