BEIJING -- The top legislature is considering amending the country's National Flag Law to require exhibition halls and indoor stadiums to display the national flag on their open days.

According to the draft amendment submitted Tuesday to the ongoing session of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress for a second reading, special courts and special procuratorates should also fly the national flag during working days.

Kindergartens should display the national flag if their conditions allow, as is now required in full-time schools, according to the draft.

The draft amendment stresses the standard design of the national flag, noting that the standard version of the national flag for online use shall be published on the websites of the top legislature and the Chinese government.
