The Second China-France Wine Culture Forum kicked off in Yinchuan city, Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region on Monday. With the theme of wine cultural communication, scholars and other guests expressed their ideas.
"The forum aims to promote mutual learning and communication between Chinese and French wine culture. We especially want to share our experience in vineyard management, winemaking and wine education with each other so that we can improve ourselves," said Chen Zhu, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the top legislature.
According to Christine Cayol, vice-president of the Sino-French Culture and Art Research Center, wine represents culture, creation and reform.
"China and France will make innovations if they can combine the art of winemaking and the production of wine vessels with their pursuit of beauty," Cayol said.
The forum also included an exhibition about the relationship between tea and wine.
