In recent years, organizations at all levels and members of the Jiusan Society have carried out researches and offered suggestions on reforming the judicial system with strong support from the SPP and procuratorial organs at all levels.

Wu put forward three suggestions on procuratorial work during the meeting. The first is to further enhance professional capability in IP-related procuratorial work and strengthen IP protection; the second is to step up cooperation in environmental protection of the Yangtze River and form a joint force of democratic supervision; the third is to improve procuratorial work concerning people's livelihood to ensure stability and health of the economy and social development.

Zhang expressed his gratitude to the Central Committee of the Jiusan Society for their care and support for the procuratorial work over the years.

He said that procuratorial organs across the country put the people first and focused on resolving the most pressing difficulties and problems that are of great concern to the people in the past year.

Zhang pledged that the SPP would stick to its original aspiration, further deepen communication and cooperation with the Jiusan Society, and contribute to the progress of multi-party cooperation.

During the meeting, Yan Jianguo, director of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Central Committee of Jiusan Society and chief partner of the Beijing-based Xinli Law Firm, and Huang Leping, deputy director of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Central Committee of Jiusan Society and director of the Beijing Yilian Legal Aid and Research Center of Labor, also exchanged views on increasing support for public-interest litigation, combating economic and financial crimes, improving the public hearing mechanism and strengthening civil trial supervision.
