Three senior legislators took an oath of allegiance to the Constitution at a ceremony held by the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC) at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on April 20.

Wang Dongming, vice-chairman of the NPC Standing Committee presided over the ceremony for their new appointments at the 34th session of the 13th NPC Standing Committee. They are Ying Yong, vice-chairman of the NPC Constitution and Law Committee, Chen Run'er, vice-chairman of the NPC Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee and Wang Jianjun, vice-chairman of the NPC Social Development Affairs Committee.
