Wang Chen, vice-chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, congratulated on the commencement of the 10th congress of the Belarusian union of legal professionals during a video speech at its opening ceremony on May 27.

Wang is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and director of the China Law Society.

Noting the comprehensive strategic partnership featuring mutual trust and win-win cooperation between China and Belarus, Wang said the Belarusian union of legal professionals has been a good friend of the China Law Society for many years.

He said that people of all countries long for peaceful development more than ever before and their call for fairness and justice is growing stronger.

China is willing to work with the legal and jurisprudential communities of all countries, build consensus on the rule of law, actively engage in international legal cooperation, and contribute to the high-quality development of the Belt and Road, Wang said.
