Wang said the law, which went into effect on June 1, 2021, is a fundamental, comprehensive law concerning agriculture, farmers and rural areas, adding that more efforts are needed to boost capability of promoting rural vitalization with law-based thinking and methods.

He stressed that the new development philosophy should be fully, accurately and comprehensively implemented in affairs related to agriculture, farmers and rural areas.

Inspections of the law enforcement should be centered on giving full play to three functions of rural areas – agricultural production, ecological protection and inheritance of cultural heritage, safeguarding national food security and deepening rural reforms in accordance with the law, said Wang.
