On Jan 23, Li Hongzhong, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, met with a delegation led by Luvsannyamyn Gantumur, chairman of the Mongolian Democratic Party, in Beijing.
Li said that the top leaders of the two countries have met many times, outlining the blueprint and ushering in a new chapter for the development of China-Mongolia relations.
The CPC cherishes its friendly relations with the Mongolian Democratic Party, he noted, adding that the CPC is willing to take the opportunity of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries to enhance exchanges between the two countries’ political parties and legislative bodies and push for the greater development of the China-Mongolia comprehensive strategic partnership.
Gantumur said that the Mongolian Democratic Party has always adhered to the one-China principle and hopes to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the CPC to promote relations between the two countries.
