Senior Chinese legislator calls for enhanced political parties exchanges with CEEC

BEIJING -- China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) should enhance exchanges between political parties and legislative bodies, said Li Hongzhong, vice-chairman of China's National People's Congress Standing Committee on Monday.

Li made the remarks when meeting with foreign representatives attending the Communist Party of China (CPC) in Dialogue with Political Parties of Central and Eastern European Countries 2024 in Beijing.

Li, also a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, noted that both sides should implement the important consensus reached between Chinese and CEEC leaders, improve practical cooperation, and enhance exchanges between political parties and legislative bodies.

Foreign representatives commended CPC's achievements, and expressed their willingness to strengthen exchanges and dialogue with China, deepen cooperation in various fields to achieve common development.
