New minister of industry and information tech pledges allegiance to Constitution
An oath-taking ceremony was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on April 30, following the conclusion of the 15th session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee. Peng Qinghua, vice-chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, chaired and oversaw the ceremony.
Li Lecheng, who was appointed as minister of industry and information technology at the session, took an oath of allegiance to the Constitution.
Officials from the NPC and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology also attended.
