On May 19, Zheng Jianbang, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress, attended a reception in Beijing celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Denmark. At the event, Zheng met with Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen.

China is willing to take the 75th anniversary as an opportunity to elevate the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Denmark to new heights, Zheng said.

Rasmussen conveyed Denmark's commitment to fostering its relationship with China, adding that Denmark anticipates further cooperation between the two nations in diverse areas.
