On June 18, Cai Dafeng, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress, attended and addressed a reception in Beijing celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Myanmar.

The  event, jointly hosted by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the embassy of Myanmar in China, welcomed approximately 200 people from various sectors in China and Myanmar. Representatives from China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Commerce as well as the embassy of Myanmar in China were present at the event.
