On Aug 21, Zhang Qingwei, vice-chairman of China's National People's Congress Standing Committee, held talks in Beijing with Tran Quang Phuong, vice-chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam and chairman of the Vietnam-China Friendship Parliamentarians' Group.

They agreed to implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two parties and the two countries, enhance exchanges and cooperation between their legislative bodies and advance the building of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future that carries strategic significance.
