On Nov 5, Zhang Qingwei, vice-chairman of China's National People's Congress Standing Committee, met with a cross-party delegation of Thai parliamentarians led by Chaiya Promma, first deputy speaker of the House of Representatives of Thailand, in Beijing.

During the meeting, Zhang briefed the Thai delegation on the guiding principles of the fourth plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The two sides exchanged views on implementing the important consensus reached by the leaders of both countries, deepening China-Thailand relations and enhancing exchanges between the two legislative bodies.
