Official pledges allegiance to Constitution
An official took an oath of allegiance to the Constitution at a ceremony held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Feb 26, following the conclusion of the 21th session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee. Shohrat Zakir, vice-chairman of the 14th NPC Standing Committee, presided over the ceremony.
The official is Yang Heqing, who was appointed deputy director of the Legislative Affairs Commission of the NPC Standing Committee at the session.
