Peng Qinghua, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress and president of the Chinese People's Association for Peace and Disarmament, met with a delegation led by Sommad Pholsena, vice-president of the National Assembly of Laos and president of Lao Committee for Peace and Solidarity, in Beijing on Feb 27.

The two sides had in-depth discussions on the building of a China-Laos community with a shared future.

They also talked about exchanges between the legislative bodies of the two countries, as well as cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
