Senior Chinese legislator chairs meeting of China-Russia parliamentary cooperation committee
Peng Qinghua, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress, co-chaired the fifth meeting of the joint working group of the China-Russia Committee for Parliamentary Cooperation with Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma Alexander Babakov in Beijing on March 24.
Participants held in-depth discussions on improving global governance, promoting sci-tech innovation through legislation and advancing cooperation in education and culture, in an effort to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state.
