China is set to intensify its crackdown on trademark hoarding and misleading practices through a revision to the Trademark Law, introducing tougher penalties to maintain order in the sector, an official from the top legislative body said on Monday.
A draft amendment to China's Trademark Law was submitted on Tuesday to the ongoing session of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the top legislature, for its second deliberation, with enhanced measures to crack down on misleading trademark practices and better protect consumer rights.
